How to Find Your Mobile Advertising ID on Apple and Android Devices

The mobile advertising ID, often abbreviated as MAID, is a unique alphanumeric string assigned to your smartphone or tablet by its operating system—either iOS (Apple) or Android (Google).

MAIDs are utilized by marketers, advertisers, and app developers to anonymously identify, understand, and target users based on their mobile device usage and app interactions.

For iOS Devices

Apple's mobile advertising identifier is known as the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). By default, the IDFA is not readily visible on your device. To access your IDFA, you'll need to use a third-party application. There are several free apps available on the App Store that can help you retrieve your device's IDFA. Simply search for "IDFA" in the App Store to find these apps.

For Android Devices

Google's mobile advertising ID is called the Android Advertising ID (AAID).
To locate your device's AAID:

Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Scroll down and tap on Google.
Select Ads.
Your AAID should be displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Resetting Your Mobile Advertising ID

If you decide to reset your MAID, please note that doing so may alter your ad preferences. You may need to reconfigure your settings for personalized ads after the reset.
